Join us in celebrating the power of art in the face of some of the most pressing challenges of our time – a concert experience that amplifies the voice, free expression, and the boundary-breaking force of art.

Kapittel invites you to a pre-program in the foyer at 6:00 PM.

On stage, unique artists with roots in diverse cultures come together, united by a shared drive: to express themselves through music and poetry – often at great personal risk. For these artists, art is about existence, survival, and human dignity.

Experience the powerful vocals of Ghawgha from Afghanistan, the Norwegian-Sámi joiker and songwriter Marja Mortensson, and Egyptian protest singer Ramy Essam, known as one of the most prominent voices of the Arab Spring. Mohammed Elsusi, Stavanger’s 14th City of Refuge artist, and Abu Joury – both Palestinian singers rooted in Arabic music and contemporary expression – contribute with compelling musical stories.
