In the city of Mytilene, the "Coexistence and Communication in the Aegean" and the sister association from Turkey "Ege Barış ve İletişim Derneği" coordinate under the auspices of the North Aegean Region and the Municipality of Mytilene the 1st Lesbos International Peace Festival, which will take place on September 2-7, 2025. With ideas traveling from every corner of the world, cultural and artistic events are planned that explore topics, such as the Common Cultural Heritage and Intercultural Relations, War and Peace, Violence, Stereotypes and Human Rights. A number of activities are organized and specifically informative events, film screenings, music concerts, sports events, culinary experiences, interactive games, photography exhibitions, painting and poster.

The island will also be attended by representatives of local authorities from Greece and Turkey to hold a discussion on city diplomacy and the consolidation of Peace.
