ICORN and Ytringsfrihetsbyen Stavanger invites you to an evening of music, poetry and mingle - a celebration of freedom, courage and the power of the art. Stavanger is home to ICORN, the International Cities of Refuge Network. A global network of more than 90 cities that offer protection to writers, journalists and artists who use their voice and artistic expression to speak out against injustices, challenging established norms and narratives and defending freedom of expression - often at great personal risk. You will meet vocalist Ghawgha from Afghanistan, musician Arya Aramnejad from Iran, Selma M. Younus, Iraqi poet, author and journalist, actor Øystein Martinsen and Mansur Rajih, poet and human rights activist from Yemen, in a unique encounter with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.
